Imoudu: as long you are using the device there should not be any issues but the problem is they do not use the device for a long time but they keep the batteries in it causing them to leak and destroy the device. Have a blessed day

Very well done, Imoudu. Thanks for sharing this different work. Just one doubt: a prepaid meter can be used as electricity meter, water meter, gas meter and parking meter. What is the case here?

My latest ANENG SZ02 Smart Meter uses 2 AAA's in it .... I didn't see anyone mention a DMM with AAA's in it . I did see Albert's comment on a Co2 meter alarm with AAA's in it , Those meter / alarms are life savers on fishing boats with sleeping quarters ...

I studied your comments critically and I want to ask if you have to modify the charging circuit of those devices using 9V batteries before you can use lithium-ion batteries in them. Most dmm use 9V batteries.Thanks for your comments

The baffling thing about some customers is they don't hearken to our advices, howerver I use Duracell alkaline batteries because I have not seen or heard it leak, in fact I use it in my tv remote for 3yrs without removing it and does not leak.Thanks for your comments, have a nice day.

Batteries like e-caps keep causing problems. And we use many in our homes. The important ones are 9V block batteries used in the smoke alarms on the ceiling in living home, kitchen and bedrooms. And most of those I already replaced by chargable Lithium-ion batteries. And 3 AAA batteries in the Carbon-Monoxide meter in my kitchen next to the cv-combiboiler. Luckily I do not have to keep track of the state of all the batteries because every device will start beeping as soon the battery is almost drained. But I still have to make sure to have a couple of spare batteries charged and ready at home in case that happens to my 5 smoke alarms and one CO meter.
