Thanks for confirming Humberto! I read a lot about many things and remember having read it somewhere but finding the article afterwards is always another matter. I once also had such a special made transformer but gave it away to a friend who was collecting old tube amplifiers and radios.

Felicitaciones por la paciencia ,solo un viejo técnico sabría iniciar esta restauración y lograr un avance como usted lo expresa ,recuerdo tratar de sintonizar AM con condensadores variables de aluminio afectados por humedad salobre y tratar de ajustar condensadores trimer con dieléctrico de mica ,que alguien habría ajustado esos tornillitos para mejorar la sintonia ,creo que eso jugo en su contra, dañados esos componentes casi imposible lograr sintonizar alguna frecuencia útil ademas de conmutadores de banda afectados por oxido o suciedad rebelde Animo usted me hizo sentir ,que la satisfacción del logro alcanzado es nuestro mejor pago

Congratulations for the patience, only an old technician would know how to start this restoration and achieve an advance as you express it, I remember trying to tune AM with variable aluminum capacitors affected by brackish humidity and try to adjust trimer condensers with mica dielectric, that someone would have adjusted those little screws to improve the tuning, I think that played against them, damaged those components almost impossible to achieve tune some useful frequency in addition to band switches affected by rust or dirt rebel Animo you made me feel, that the satisfaction of the achieved achievement is our best payment

Just a thought after reading your repair article earlier, I can remember from an a past employee who worked on a lot of valve radios, telling me some odd features on certain models. One was that some radios had a switch on the tuning shaft that could be enabled to mute the radio whilst the shaft was being rotated. I don't know if you've ever encountered that one before? I think I have an odd circuit for the 1940's vintage radios if you would like me to send you a pdf.
