Hi Mohammad,

The ATX power supply is not designed to test on Monitor.

This tester is just USELESS, it measures only the voltage, the resistor used here is basically used to save the display driver LCD, and is perhaps working as a fuse or choke. A tester should test every rail by giving a LOAD. This is nothing but an extended version with digital display of GO-NO-GO ATX SMPS TESTER whose circuit is given on a CZECH SITE HERE http://danyk.cz/atx_t_en.html. And mass produced by Chinese super industrial brains. I am sorry, I do not wish to hurt/offend anyone's sentiments. My sincere apologies in advance. A very good project of SMPS Tester had appeared in ELEKTOR magazine many years ago.

Hi Jestine,
When I was searching for a power supply I had seen this Power Supply Tester II, an I was comparing it to the Thermaltake Dr. Power II.

I chose the Thermal Take Dr. Power II.
Upon using it on several ATX Power supplies I found it to condemn falsely many ATX Power Supplies.

My employer at that time showed me that this Power Supply tester was in fact condemning good working ATX Power Supplies.

I am hoping that perhaps you may have some understanding why this would be.

During this time I 3 days beyond the point of returning it for a full refund.

I have shelved my tester.

Thanks Justine.
