Great article! Congratulations on solving this troubleshooting case. I am sad to know such so called "technician" do such thing, instead of admitting that help is needed and seek a more experience technician to learn, they "sabotage" their own learning experience. In my 30 plus years in electronic repair, never found anything like that. However, i had experience where new or inexperience tech had made errors or replaced components that are not at fault. But the willingness of a new tech to learn, must be encourage. Great article sir!!!

Mean and narrow mindedness. That's all! Generally, when tampered sets are brought, commercial technicians whose bread is dependent on this income, will only resort to change of board, which is cheaper. But compromise on clarity and sharpness is the result. Customers might not notice!

Man is that a lot of replaced parts. I hope it was worth it cost wise. I had some previous experiences with such technicians. the technician scraped off the part number of the fly back on a CRT TV and he thought that he could stop me from repairing this one but he was wrong. I had the same TV at my shop with all the parts and part numbers on it and it was repaired
well job my friend on the repair success. keep up the good works for a lot try to put us down but we let them succeed if we only let them. have a blessed day

Attempting to perform a repair on a device which a (less adept) technician has already attempted (and failed) is the worst. Not only are your looking for the original cause of the problem but you are also looking for all the things the other guy could have messed up. You really have to know what you are doing when attempting such a repair! I also get the feeling that Parasuraman wasnt about to let the other technician win without a fight. He through every part at that board except the kitchen sink!

Wow! Reading this you might as well deserve a gold medal for your successful work! Especially after seen all the part that you replaced! And better warn others not to go to the malicious technician that should be put out of his job immediately!
