Samsung Phone Charger Repair
Hi!
This is not a nice repairing article I think so, and also not maybe a really repairing stuff but after I suffered for days with my not working phone charger, I decide to show how I was heal my illness.
The charger of my phone was interrupting the charging, so I can’t charge up my phone.After I realized the problem I bought new chargers! Yes, that was nice and great, but the new chargers were crap, an unusable peace of nothing. I binned them quickly. So, I decide to open my old charger to try to repair it if I could.
Friends of mine told me there is no way to open it, because it is full filled with glue, hard to separate the case etc. but I told, ok, if I cannot open the case I will smash it and even than I will get inside. The charger was really simple to open with a scalpel. Then I simply pulled out the pcb from the case.
Here comes to the problem. When I was pushed that black plastic inside the usb connector I realized a small movement, what was indicating to me does there is some mechanical problem in the charger.
After I put the pcb under my microscope I quickly realized where is the problem. Check the pictures.
So, I decide to heat up the pcb a bit and re-solder the whole area. After the re-solder my charger works like a charm! I was very happy because my original charger is on the road again, and I’m also very sad because I spent lot of money for few new chargers which was actually a cheap copy and crap. It is hard in my area to buy a genuine charger when you need.
However, I made this article to show this kind of charger is repairable, even if a part would fail I assume a basic skilled technician can repair this. All that nice, shiny chargers for smartphone’s are just for bin and are crap and I think, it is more worth to repair your genuine tool than to switch it with an unusable think.

You are right. The original power adapters are often worth the money. But even the clone adapters can be improved upon like I did by adding a decent AC power filter to a Sony clone camera adapter. That afterwards worked as good as the more expensive original Sony adapter.
