good job on the repair. One suggestion though, before applying the lubricant to any fan make sure it is dust free because if the lubricant got mixed with dirt and dust it becomes a disaster. have a blessed day

You are of course right in stating that these smps units easily would have been scrapped if no one had taken the time to check these thoroughly. Like you did and in this case even found out that no components had to be replaced to get them fixed.
