Chisel on the sides and detach the holding and pull the cover out. I use a long & flat screwdriver with slight bend at the tip, which is sharpened for this purpose. I have explained this in a few of my articles before. Then hammer on the sides of the screws. Customer should be informed of this and consent obtained before that. There is no other go. Then use a washer in place of the broken hold and use a slightly longer new screw. Many thanks, dear Mark!

In as much as I try to make my repaired board have a professional repair outlook, the thin conductive copper tracks, as if they hold a grudge against me, will always defy my average competence. A messy job is what is portrayed, successful or not successful.

Your professional repairs quite often turn from complex electronic repairs frequently also into advanced mechanicle engineering. Like in this multi-issue National radio cassette recorder repair.
I think that if you also were able to print defect or missing parts with a 3D printer at home it would greatly help you to even fix the things you as supermotivated fixer otherwise now still would have to pass on.
