Thank you for the well presented article Parasuraman Subramanian.
I do not know if only the 4V battery you showed can be charged on 5V USB voltage. But since any chargeable Li-ion Battery is about 3.7V uncharged and about 4.2V charged I guess that would work fine here too if it originally is made for a Li-ion Battery.
I recently also did buy perfectly on 5V USB chargeable 1.5V Li-ion batteries. They work great to power my Camera. And they work much longer than the standard AA penlight cells.
