If you have the budget you can always buy a new repair workbench that have all the things done for you like the AC points, place to put components, test equipment and etc. However, if you are on tight budget, you can always convert a normal/used desk/table into a workbench. Search from the internet for the photos of those professional workbench and you will definitely get some ideas about it. Assuming you are converting the desk/table into a workbench what you need to do is to first find a place to secure the AC plug whether to place it right or left side depending whether you are right or left handed. Then, locate the place to put in your tools, meters, technical books, schematic diagrams and etc.

For your information, there is no perfect workbench because it all depends on your preference on how you set it up. Once you have done setting up the workbench, you then start to do the repair job and from there you can adjust the place accordingly to suit your convenience.
