That method of removing the IC protection is really worth it for me because I have done it many times and so far they have not come back and they last a long time working as they should.

white display coming on-screen
backlight strip removed and after cleaning attached to the slot
then the problem is same but after starting switch off

My question also, Yogesh. But it is my First option mainly because it is cheaper and quicker to reflow the LED's or throw away the coupler and hardwire the LED strips.

Have you tried to repair the LED strip??..... some time this is the only option because of unavailability of spare parts.

Not this time, Albert. I removed all of the LED strip couplers and soldered in tinned copper wire. It has been playing great!

Good job, Suranga. Did you check to see if you just had a bad solder joint on one or more of the LED's on the strip, or a bad strip coupler? I have repaired my TV backlight problem twice and never had to buy a new strip.
