On remote controls its not as big of a problem, because usually cost of new is very low....and a substitute remote control may be possible. Its a bigger problem when used deeper inside the actual chassis of the product. As repair becomes lower percentage of choice to buying new, this kind of trend may increase. We need to do more to as technicians to encourage growth of repair services.
