I have not encountered any speakers fault on any tv for some reason. I usually collect them as spare parts but I never had the chance to use the so I gave them to the recycling center in our town. Have a blessed day and thanks for sharing

Since speakers become flatter and flatter there is not much space for a good bass box in tv sets. And DSP tricks are used in smartphones to emulate good sounding polyphone frequencies in those low Q factor speakers.
To protect my 80 Watt audio box speakers from blowing through their internal speakers coils I use special thermal fuses that in seconds prevent a too high flowing current. With this calculator from this German seller, and two of those protecting self restoring PTC resistor 'fuses' (after cooling down), I now never have to worry that my expensive Elac speakers (that are no longer made and so not available anywhere either!) blow up to kingdom come again! => https://www.lautsprechershop.de/hifi/ptc_en.htm

I remember the first time I even heard of a shorted speaker causing a TV not to work.... I heard it from YOU.
Luckily I have never run across such a problem but the solution will be in the back of my mind in case I do.
