An Obvious Damage On An Air Condition Repaired And Maintained
Due the heat wave that we are going through at this time, a lot of air condition unites are under a heavy load and many boards are failing due to this situation. This guy brought me a board that has an obvious damage check it out.
It looks like a brand new board because it is clean and nice and it does not seems like someone worked on this board before but as seen in the photo,
it was a clear damage and it was very clear what to do and how to test it out.
The main issue for me was to find the same exact relay and when I checked online I found plenty of them for cheap but the customer was not willing to wait so I had to find it somehow locally and I checked with some places that I could think of but found nothing.
I was getting a call from the customer almost every half an hour to see if the board was fixed or not and every time I say no he put more pressure on me to get it done and every time I explain the situation he say ok just do what you can.
I started calling every store and every air condition techs to help me out finding this part and finally my efforts paid off. A guy close buy that I help order stuff for him online said he have the same exact part, used but in good condition.
I drove to his place which was about five minutes away and I was able to find it. The tech refuse to take any money for it although I insisted but still refused and said something about technicians supporting and helping one another in time of need.
The used part was in excellent condition so I drove back to the shop soldered the relay back on board and called the customer for pick up.
The customer came and picked up the board and later on he called and told me that all is well and the AC unit is up and running. I was happy that I was able to help the customer out.

Good job! And such a nice helping fellow repair engineer closeby is something to cherish!
PS: I've heard about the extremely hot weather in India and China on the news. Apparently the pre-monsoon season in South Asia happens more frequently because of the climate change. All we mostly had now in my country and this part of Europe was way too wet and windy fall autumn weather, with too much rain in our present summer! All very Wet-wet-wet ! (like that famous boyband).
