Color TV pictures have more red colour
hi jestine hope you’re fine i am also thanking you for sending me your electronic articles. Now ihave a tv china made it has a problem of colour ie the pictures have more red colour .I tried troubleshooting the RGB circuit at the neck of crt only one transistor c2482 had a leakage between the collector and emitter .Ok i replace with a new one which tested good but after putting power on the problem still persisted .I put the power off on touching the 3 big resistors 10k they were so hot the voltage i got was 184v instead of 180v i replace them and the two other c2482 but the problem still persists can you help please .
Answer:
I suggest that you continue to check the components surrounding the bad transistor of 2SC2482. In your case the best is to compare the voltage/signal between the RGB circuits. Any differences is the clue where you can begin to troubleshoot on that particular point/area. Sometimes colorsetting can be adjusted from TV service mode which you need the service manual in order to enter the service mode. Sometimes the problem could also be due to corrupted EEPROM IC where you need an original program to overwrite on the old program.
By the way, in some rare cases a bad picture tube also could cause color problem

Dear and Respected Sir,
My Question is also related to this problem.
One big Resistance and one C2482 is getting hotter.
but picture is OK when i start the TV but after some time it show white Re tracer lines.
No visible capacitor leakage, also HOT is OK.
Please suggest.

Hi Yasir,
You need to find out why the transistor gets hotter. Warm transistor is acceptable but not hot that you can't touch it. You have to check all the components that is connected to the transistor.

Hi Arnold,
I thought you are connecting your DVD output to the AV?
