Hakko Presto 981 Solder Gun
By Jestine Yong on August 28, 2007
My favorite solder gun is the HAKKO PRESTO 981 solder gun that have the features of two operating wattages – 20W and 130W, which can be switched by simply pressing a button according to the component size you want to solder. Let’s say i want to solder out a flyback transformer (that have big solder joints in the pins) i would press the gun button to increase the watt to 130 watt and if i want to do normal soldering i would not press the button.
My other solder gun was the antex 15 watt with the smallest tip that i use it for soldering the spider IC’s and other small SMD components. If you are using any special type of solder gun and wish to share with other readers, you are welcome to give comment.

I love my solomon soldering station...I used to use a weller, but my boss at a TV shop I worked for years ago gave me a solomon station and I have used one ever since....
here is a link to the one I use, I don't know if this is a trusted site or not just using it so you can see the solomon station...
