For testing I slide the on /off switch but device is not turning ON.

So for further inspection I disassembled the device by replacing Blade unit & screw on handle. On opening I found inside circuit covered by hair tufts.

after Cleaning I powered the unit & slid the on/off switch & motor start spinning.

Reassembled the unit for testing. powered the unit & slide the switch but it is not working. Again opened everything & tested on the power slide the on /off switch & found Motor is spinning. (this is my First attempt to repair this type of device I never used these type of devices for my personal use so working process of this device is new for me).

So bit confused what is going on, checked Circuit for dry solder, Loose contact & battery for working everything seems OK.

Packed everything up again and tested it, again device is not working this time I simply removed the blade unit and turned on the device and the motor started spinning, indicating that the device is not working when the blade unit is connected. So removed the blade unit for inspection.

I found units’ upper blade is not moving It looked like a jam, disassembled Part by Parts & I found it stuck because of Hair tufts between the blades.

& device is ready to pickup.

There are many reasons why a device may not work. They maybe electronic circuit, mechanical parts, physical & also environmental effect also involved. Once we understand the working process of the device it is easy to find culprit.

Many thanks for sharing a unique repair work, which had dual role, one of barber and another of technician! But let me be frank, I find it disgusting to do this type of job on other's hair dressing tools!

Indeed a very messy hair clogged shaver repair! There no doubt is also a reason why pedicure ladies often wear masks while polishing other peoples nails. There is a lot of DNA that goes around. And health and safety reasons are mandatory.

Unless it is my own trimmer, I will not touch those hairy devices. I hate to see the skin bacterial stuff from a third party on my workbench

    Bram,
What if you're in the medical field? You'll need to take all the necessary precautions, or if you're not, you're limited in your experience with new technology.
