Repair Of Dead Wireless Microphone
This wireless mic was brought with complaint of deadness.
I open it and examine it,seeing no link to problem e.g burnt, bulged or rust components, i decided to test all components one after other.
I fancy this board because virtually all components are tagged with their values on the board.
So while testing the components,I come across an inductor(100uh) that was open, got a new replacement and soldered it on,
then put it’s batteries and switch ON…working perfectly now. This’s the finished repair work.
This article was prepared for you by Imoudu Onwumah from Nigeria. He is 62 years old and has just 3 years experience in electronics repairs. I started career in hotel industry as a chef, but then I was doing repairs only in electrical repairs as a hobbyist. In 2018, I decided to learn about electronics which through Jestine’s electronics e-books and holding my hand, am an electronics techie today.

Always a good feeling when a repair results in a complete fix after finding only one bad component at almost no cost! In this case the easily replaceable 100uH coil.

It makes our job a lot easier when they silkscreen not only the component but also their value on the board.
Well done on your repair
