Restored An F&D USB Video Player AC Adapter Model F100
AC Adapter of my USB Video Player, F&D F100 : This adaptor was found dead one day, when I tried to play my favorite Sherlock Holms movie. On opening the adaptor, I saw capacitor bulged and dislodged from its place. The legs of the two pin AC inlet were also worn out and in dangerous condition. (We, technicians would attend to a problem in-house only when cornered! (LOL).
I replaced the three electrolytic caps and retouched the board very well, and provided a new Adaptor case, which had better thick pins for AC input.
It was giving perfect output on doing a pre-test:
Then refit the PCB inside the new case and checked it connecting it to the player
and found it to be working very well.
Mission accomplished and satisfaction got added to its collection.

Dear Sir,
I have one suggestion.
Power supply circuit has fuse resistance but MOV is not there across the AC input after the fuse. Can be added to safe guard the circuit due to high voltage surge.
07D471 or 07D511 MOV may be used.
