it can, but the secondary winding has to be multitapped, it will use more copper an will be more expensive. it will also be safer as it is isolated from mains.

Sir,
The above question having two questions in it.
1. AVR made by which tranformer for example . Issolated or Auto. but the problem is this that servo motor control AVR make with auto winding (spiral type).
2. if the transformer of AVR made with issolation winding than it is possible to use as issolation power supply. and if not other-wise AVR is hazardous to be used as issolation need.
Conclusion: Servo AVR mostly made with auto type round shape winding. so therefore, it is not useful as issolation power supply transformer.
