I carry a small tube of lead free with me for the warranty companies that ask me to use it on lead free PCBs to make sure they stay lead free, but I don't like using it. I have to get my soldering iron so hot that often I have to replace my tip after one job also the solder does not flow easily and is prone to whiskers. It is also a real pain to remove with a sucker or solder wick. Over all I prefer the eutectic solder or 60/40 with rosin core of course.

Things were so busy at my shop the last 1.5 months I had no time to go online very often and barely enough time to sleep..LOL..but I paid a lot of bills. Also In the process of all the craziness I also moved my home and shop to a new location. Things are now settled and I am looking forward to many hurs on the PC.

I hate working on lead free PCB's too. I use stainless steel tips and lead free paste. Yes the solder does not flow and it is easy to damage the board.
