hi jestine,im fixing a 19"lcd tv,the problem on this tv was that a child banged the back of this tv and i think caused a short between the psu and the rear of the lcd panel, there was 2 round burn points on the back of the lcd casing on opening,.the short happend between the minus of the bridge rectifier and the b+ of the smps transformer, there is what i think is a fused resistor its marked "R111" on the board, coming from the + of the bridge, trace goes to the filter cap inbetween filter cap and b+ of the smps there is this "resistor"it looks like a pico fuse and has a mark on it "2a"its blue in colour ,on continuity test it tests open circuit,on resistance test it shows 10.35 K OHM on my fluke 87v in autoranging mode,is this part failed?is it a fused resistor or a normal pico fuse?thanks jestine, lee,ps i can send you a picture of the part if you need it.
