No Display In Dell PC Solved
I was called by a fellow-worker because there was no display in her DELL PC, so a duty was waiting for being solved.
The first step was to look at the rear of the PC:
And what a surprise with the connections of VGA cable:
The VGA connector was not connected on the right place so when it was connected to the VGA Graphics Card and switched on, the display appeared:
The reason you are seeing two VGA ports/connectors in a PC is because the software like Auto CAD, Sketchup and Photoshop are heavily used by Architects, Civil Engineers, Electric Engineers, Automatic engineers, Hydraulic engineers, draftsmen, etc that can slower down the software. The extra VGA CARD has to be inserted into the AGP or PCI express slot to speed up the software and make it to run more efficient because of the extra memory in the VGA card.
Note: Once the additional video card is inserted the built in VGA card in the PC will no longer be used.
The VGA connector that was connected on the wrong VGA card was done by one of the staff in the company. The reason for it was because I took the PC back for repair and after I repaired the PC they took it back and this is where the new staff do not know how to connect to the right VGA card causing no display symptom. The PC now is running fine when it was connected back to the extra VGA card.
