All looking good Jestine. Congratulations.
btw where did you get the de-soldering tool (one picture before last)?
I have been through several models, either not lasting long or cannot find spare tips etc...
Cheers,

Hi Gerald,
I got it from aliexpress.com model s-998p. What is the problem with the tool?

Mine is 993A also from Aliexpress. Suction is not very good and the tips very quickly oxidized and worn out. Maybe newer models as 998p are better...
Used to have a Hakko, very good but the heating element got clogged with rust, impossible to recover even with very high temperature. Replacement part was much too expensive.

Hi Gerald,
Noted. Last time there was a case of clogged in the gun solder tip and I had to use the finest drill bit to solve the problem.

I had a problem with my desoldering gun getting clogged because I wasn't giving it enough time to heat up. Now I always give it at least 10 minutes to heat up and I rarely have a clogging problem.

Hi Robert,
For mine, the clogged was due to that I had forgotten to clean it after the students used it. The smallest drill bit done the cleaning.

Hi Gerald,
I love my Hakko 808 desoldering gun. They sell them on the European market also with a different model number. I haven't had any issues with mine: I just keep it clean and it performs like a champ. I'll try to remember to show a photo of it in my next article.

Thanks Robert. I have been looking for this model in the past, under your advice if I remember. It doesn't seem to be available here in Malaysia. Funny enough we find many sites selling spare parts for the 808 but I haven't found the whole product. Maybe I am looking at the wrong place...

Good job to all new advanced electronic students! Seeing all those participants - and from all over the globe - coming to Noahtech, it is wonderful to read that Noahtech even assist students in the arrangement for hotel accommodation. Which must make Noahtech very unique for providing these extra services. I tried to find an indication for course prices but I suppose they are only given after contacting Noahtech? The courses are daily given from 9.00am to 5.00pm, but I guess these are included by a few brief work breaks/intermissions?

Hi Albert,
Thanks for the compliment. The course fees will be given if they ask. Training time is from 9am to 5pm and after the training course, I provide technical support to them.

Hi Mr. Yong,
It looks like you have carpet and regular tables in the classroom with no anti-static mats on them. How do you stop static electricity?
Anti-static mats also help keep devices and things from sliding around.

Hi Robert,
At the training center here we did not repair customer equipment. For your information I did cover the static electricity topic in my training class. I will take note on your advice. Thanks.
