I watched the 28 second video Jestine but couldn't see what they exactly were doing? It looks very teamspirited, but normally measuring components is a one person individual action. Looks like you are training teambuilding? (LOL).

      Hi Albert,

They were checking on precision preset and I asked them to look at the ohms value carefully because the changing in ohms value is totally different from the variable resistor and the normal preset.

Sorry, I still have no idea what component they are holding Jestine or what component test it was? I couldn't see it in the video. And your explanation sadly didn't help.

          Hi Albert,

They are holding a precision preset and was testing it. If you know how to test a preset you will surely know how to test a precision preset. You can Google for precision preset and you will know how it looks like. The video is not meant to show you how to measure a precision preset. The video is about part of how the Basic training class was conducted.

Okay thanks Jestine, I understand that you meant a precision potmeter. We call them for instance 10-slags potmeters if they have 10 turns from begin to end. Precision preset is not a term we are familiar with.

Quite interesting to see new beginners in your lecture room, I hope I will be one of them in the near future with my daughter.
