Hello Jestine,

My name is John Preher, I own a TV and electronic repair business in Medford Oregon…..I have been repairing CRT tvs for a long time.The time has come where I realize that the CRTs are phasing out and soon I can expect to be repairing mostly LCD monitors and TVs(also DLP and LCoS)…right now most of them I see are for jobs I do with warranty companies, and the tech support from the warranty companies can be subpar. I was anxious to get some good info so I could feel very confident in my understanding of LCD technology, but there is not much for techs yet as far as LCD TV and monitor repair goes.

Then I found your website and book..I downloaded your book 2 days ago and last night I sat down and read the whole thing…I could not put it down as I was so excited at the great info that was packed inside..I will be reading it again tonight and keeping it for a reference in my library….thank you so much, I now feel like an LCD pro..I am completely confident I can not only repair LCD monitors but also LCD TVs with very little problems…I am so excited I am looking all over for broken LCD TVS and monitors so I can start fixing and selling the refurbished units, also I will be very ready when consumers start to call in in a few years with all there out of warranty LCD units…thanks again Jestine you have made a TV tech very happy…and made me feel like an LCD expert. If you are ever in my area or doing a class close by, please let me know as I would love to meet with you and/or attend one of your classes.

   Hey thanks for posting the link to my site Jestine, I have also now bought and read Testing Electronic Components, this was an awesome book also with lot's of great info even for a seasoned tech such as my self,a great reference book for my library aswell.I new alot about testing components already but this book filled the gaps in my knowledge of testing,I now have no worries testing any electronic components....thanks again Jestine.With your permission I would like to put links to your site on my home page....have a great day.
