A friend of mine brought his Iphone 6 for repair. He said that his phone fell to the ground but the Iphone was still working fine. Later on when he tried to charge it, well, take a look and you will see the problem.

It looks like a normal phone but a dead one.

The next photo will explain more.

Iphone 6 repair how to

I have seen this happens a lot with Iphone 6, 6 plus and 5C. When the customer tired to charge the phone, the battery got damaged and became thicker pushing the Iphone screen out.

I took the two screws holding the screen down near the home button key and gently pulled the screen upward keeping in mind that the screens flex cables still attached to the board.

First thing to do was taking the tiny metal plate that cover the battery flex cable and then work my way out to the second plate that is covering the screen, proximity sensor, and touch flex cables .

This is the bulged battery that actually pulled the Iphone screen up. It was completely damaged and needed a replacement.

A new battery that was wrapped in plastic was installed in the phone.

Of course the plastic has to come off before the installation take place.

It is always a good idea to test the phone out before snapping the screen back on. As seen in the photo, the phone came on and it was working fine again.

The customer is a carpenter and I could tell because wood dust was covering the phone inside. I cleaned the phone inside out and snapped the screen back on. Customer was happy to see his phone comes back to life and so was I.

Mission Accomplished.

Good job! I know everybody is using Smartphones these days like their lives depend on it, but I think that today's technology still is too fragile and too expensive to survive even a small fall. Especially those expensive Apple mobiles.

Albert: thanks man. yes they are expensive and fragile yet there are ways to protect them from falling damages like adding a protective casing but customers are not willing to take that extra steps. Apple is still cheaper when it comes to screens and damage repair. Samsung's screens are more expensive and sometimes hard to replace. I would choose apple any time over Samsung phones.

Which requires precision but not much electronics knowledge, screen refurbishment has become an industry on its own.

Thanks for the article, Waleed. I have gained something from every single one that you've posted.

      Deborah: greetings.
are you talking about the passcode password or the icloud password. if Icloud, there is not answer to it. if passcode, you need to connect your phone to Itunes and restore iphone. it will erase everything on your phone and will restore it to factory settings. if you backed up your phone before that would be great because after you restore your phone you can restore backup from itunes back to your phone. i Hope that make sense.

    Waleed,
Now days Mobile is like a family Member if it fail everybody in family is curious about health of mobile.

and when it comes out healthy from "ICU".........HA ha.
I think you have to remove the plastic package from the Battery unnecessarily it accumulate Heat inside the mobile.
