A Welding Machine Powers On But Does Not Weld Repaired. Model: INC-CO

I have seen this kind of issues in this brand a lot. The technician tries to weld but for some reason it does not. Sometimes the output voltages are there but the moment the welding starts, all the readings disappear.
That is the cover of the machine and it is all beat up so I am kind of expecting to see big damage inside.
The fan was not powering on even when the machine was on.
The first thing I saw on this board an SMD diode with a hole in it (M7 diode). This area is close to the bridge rectifier so I am expecting some damage there.
The bridge rectifier tested ok off board but there was a trace broken on one of its pins so I restored that one.
I did not add the solder mask on it yet but once I get the machine up and running I will make sure I do it.
I also found a KSP13 transistor with one leg broken; this is connected directly to the amp potentiometer that controls the welding rate in the machine. I got replaced it as well.
I continued to test for faulty components on board and found none. It was time now to power on the machine and see how it goes. I could read some voltages coming out of the negative and positive terminals of the machine but I did not check the welding because the fan needed to be replaced first.
It is a 24 volts fan with .45 amp rating so I replaced that with same specs fan but used one. I did not have a brand new one but in the shop so I will replace it with a new once I get them ordered on line.
I added a solder mask to the wire used to connect the broken trace and cured it with ultra light and I made sure it was hardened.
That is the finished product and as seen it was completely covered and safe. I took the machine next door for my brother to test the welding and it worked perfectly. The welding was good and the fan was working the way it should be.
Mission Accomplished.

Using solder mask is something that I have not yet tried. It is a professional fix and I like the way you handle it smoothly because of your expertise!

Parasuraman: thank you for the sweet comment my friend. Solder mask is an excellent addition to the field of repair and a good thing to have around in the shop. Have a blessed day.

The damage done to this welding machine was still surprisingly very minor. Probably because of the open copper track that got separated by the high short current.
And like you I now also am very fond of the ease of use of applying uv solder mask. I was surprised how little of the uv hardening epoxy liquid resin was needed to fix all 19 tracks on my recent HDMi port repair. I only needed to apply very small drops and still have 4 syringes of 10mL(10cc) uv epoxy resin left. And I think it was one of the best products I ever ordered!
Sadly the expiration time of these uv resin syringes is just 6 months.

Albert: thanks for your comments and yes it is good to have such stuff in the shop for repair but I did not know that the expiration time only for 6 months because i had this stuff in my shop for the past two years and still working fine. they say the same thing about flux but again I had flux in my shop for a long time even the expiration date was long time ago..still working fine. I think it is just a marketing thing and they want you to keep buying stuff. have a blessed day.

Good to know Waleed that there is no need to worry that much about the written text about only 6 months of expiration time on the syringes. I guess there is also no need to keep the syringes in the fridge for prolonged safekeeping either?

Albert: yes, not need to keep in the fridge. I have mine sitting in the shop and it is great and I use it everyday..have a blessed day
