I checked Remote with my TV, found same problem as stated below:

So it is time to inspect it from inside.

fixing set top box remote control

Opened the remote & tested again but there is no LED indication while pressing key 1 & 2. Removed rubber keypad for inspecting the circuit. Checked traces for any type of damages but everything seems Ok. So First step is to clean the PCB using IPA or thinner.

Here I used IPA. After cleaning I checked again still same problem. Now I applied Hot air using hair dryer & let the PCB cool down. Again using IPA, I cleaned the PCB & dried up it again using hot air, then using Pencil I applied carbon coating on every key contacts & kept the PCB to set it for few minutes.

Yogesh, a very useful repair article. What retains the graphite on the underside of the rubber key surfaces - and does it provide a long term repair? Could you have proved the circuit board was OK by shorting out the keypad on the circuit board?

Thanks! Anthony Paterson for your comment.
This is environmental effect where you have heavy humidity weather this type of problem is happen ,Keypad traces are coated with some conductive substance which get degraded because of either heavy use or environment effect.i found 50% problems in IR Remote is keypad contacts & others are of batteries, i never came across circuit failure till the date.About a long term repair.....it works in my cases.

In the past I found a much better fix after I found a cheap gold marker pen on Aliexpress that better sticks onto those rubber/silicon pads. Other marker pens are still available like these that probably also work.

Albert, Thanks for info but this marker pens does not have shelf life so repair is not economical.
