Complicated Cabling System

Beh have these 2 photos from two different country and wonder how one could recognize which cable is to which house since all looks the same and without numbering/label. If you know the answer please share to us and Beh as he really would like to know how those people who had fixed those cables could identified each line.

a friend of mine from India an (engineer), I asked him the same question about these cables and how they recognize which cable is which. he told me that these cables were done over time..it did not happen over one night. and if one house loose power, they trace it from a near by where the house is(usually close to the pole)and get it fixed. strange way of doing things but somehow,it is working fine for them.

Hi Jestine,
i think one of these pictures we're taken here from the philippines... usually the linemen/cable technician here just follows the telephone/electrical/cable line that they are troubleshooting which begins at the subscribers/costumers residence...
those wires/lines/cables have their designated/assigned terminal/cable pairs ( signal source and ground ) at the main system of the service provider. from the main system, those lines are sent to the panel distribution box which are located at a selected line post, usually there are 15-20 lines/terminals per distribution box, and from that point they will assign each of those lines to each of their subscibers.
just in case a certain subscriber have a problem with his signal/line, he will call the service provider/operator and will report the problem... from there the provider will call their technicians/lineman to inspect/troubleshoot the problem... the lineman will ask the records of the subscriber from the operator ( name, address, assigned line post number where his lines were taken, and the last important thing is the terminal/cable pair from the main system ); in most telephone companies if the terminal/cable pair is heavily damaged due to design or internal troubles/problems, they will have to reassign a new cable/terminal pair {usually this is in form of a spare/extra terminals/cable pair} for that particular subscribers line so that his signal will not be terminated and his subscription will continue. ... the technician will then have to decide at which particular point will his troubleshooting begins, it's kind of a signal tracing approach.
hope this tip shed some lights on the complicated cabling system which many third world countries such ours have/has. thanks and Good Repairing Day.

Thanks for the comment. It could be also there are many houses sharing one point thus ending up too any cables connected to each other. It could be easily recognized for those who have fixed the cables and for new electrical person, it will take sometimes for them to segregate it.

Sir,
Actually, above electrical distribution company and natives is the main responsible about hazardous and non organized wiring connections.
In. pakistan electrical companies providing better wiring connections but native and peoples who are stealing electricity, they are the responsible for this act like above.
However, nation is also the responsible and every native takes part of that piece to better environment and facilities than things will be in proper shapes OR condition..
Does every native playing best role for own country ?????
that is the question of today.
