A Remote Controlled Helicopter With A Damaged Charging Port Repaired
A father and his son walked into the shop and asked me to repair a charging port on a tiny helicopter. The father explained that he bought this toy for his son a day before and it seems like the charging port was not soldered on strong enough or the kid was rough with it. Either way it has to be soldered back on and if broken, it has to be replaced.
Only three tiny screws holding the cover and once these were taken out,
I could see beneath that to see what was wrong.
It is a very simple design and I am guessing easy to repair or maintain.
I lifted the board off and I was able to see a missing charging port;
it was still inside the helicopter housing so I have to do is solder back the way it was but better with stronger joints.
I soldered it back and it was time for testing and making sure all is well.
Mission Accomplished.

If there is something in new technology that keeps me amazed it must be the fast revolution in drone technology and the electric helicopters and electric planes that even can transport people and heavy loads. Like those FVP drones with camera that fly at amazingly fast speeds of 140 Km/h. And show the first person view over wifi cam at the same time. Over a distance of at least 2 KM! On 11 April Nasa also will start with flying the helicopter on Mars while life video is streamed to Earth! We live in strange but exiting times!
