AC DC Adapter Cell Phone Wall Charger Repaired
This AC DC DC Adapter Cell Phone Wall Charger with no brand and model SM-600B was brought to me by a fellow-worker and the complaint was his Cell Phone was not receiving any charge from this device.
There was only one screw to open it up.
Then the device was open.
As you can see, there was not any complex circuitry. When the components were examined at simple sight there was not any burnt component, not any bulged e-cap, etc., etc.
So it was time to check on the PCB for the other side.
Of course there was not any Vout, the USB port had many cold solder joins, so this USB port was extracted from the PCB.
The pins of this USB port were cleaned to achieve a better soldering later on. It was inserted again in the PCB and re-soldered with fresh tin.
It’s now time to check on the Vout with the Digital Multimeter.
As you can see in the photo above there was Vout.
This was an easy repair but anyway: another device saved from the dump.
