AC Remote Control With Bad Display Repaired
As I entered my church on Sunday morning, I saw my Pastor fiddling with a remote control of the main AC unit there. He told me that he replaced the batteries and the remote works but there is no display to see the settings on that AC unit.
I took the remote to my shop the next day to get it fixed.
There were no screws on the back of this remote control so I had to use a flat device to get it opened.
The remote control board was clean and nice on the inside but in order to get to the display I had to take this board off for more inspection.
The touch button on the board were dirty so I gave them a good clean and
also cleaned the buttons pad knowing that was not the main issue with this remote but I did it anyway because it was needed.
I also cleaned the area where the pads of the display sits on, they were dirty to and needed cleaning.
These are the display pads and here I did not use any cleaning alcohol; I just used Q-tips and rubbed it against these pads.
Mission Accomplished

Interesting article that points out that sometimes what is needed is good clean connections to make things work....but what is also clear is that you use your knowledge in service to your fellow beings. Good work!

In this case I think it was appropriate to say: Thank God it was an easy repair!

Yes, cleaning the RC in this way is the best way to restore it. Using a Q-tip (I had to check the web to know what was that) to clean was a good idea. Well done!
