Burnt 85 Watt CCFL Bulb Repaired
![cfl bulb repair](https://jestineyong.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/f-1.jpg)
A burnt 85 watt CCFL bulb was brought for repair. I opened the case cover, clean inside full of dust and dead tiny insects which have gotten inside for warmth purpose.
Then I tested all components on board and found 4 resistors opened,
2 transistors(13003) shorted, which I de-soldered out and replaced with new ones.
However, the 4 burnt resistors are 0.5W in size, but I replaced with 0.25W. Well, it may seem unprofessional.
I did this because I have repaired quite a number of this bulb of various brand and have always found 0.25W on their boards. Why the maker of this particular brand use 0.5W remains unknown to me.

In my country such 85W bulb sells at about 3dollars and not consider cheap because daily wage is not up to this amount for some people. It pays me for the price I charge.
