Can’t Believe It
The house that I’m staying is already 11 years old. I shifted to this house after got married back in 1998 and i bought many new electrical items. Just last week, the air condition in the master bedroom produced a very loud sound (seems like motor problem) and tripped the whole house. Then, 2 days ago, while my wife was trying to wash clothes, she found that the washing machine was not working (no power). Yesterday while supporting my customers, the house electricity suddenly cut off (tripped again) and i found that the electric thermost flask was the cause of the fault.
Can you believe this?-Within a week there are 3 electrical items spoilt!!!! No wonder the service shop still have lots of things to repair. This is just one house! So if you consider of joining this repair trade, i guess there are still job for you.

About five years ago, all power went off to our then 30 yr old house during a storm. Don't know the cause, but the bus bars joining the two halves of the main panel(with meter) literally melted to the bottom of the box. I powered the house using an extension cord and a double male pigtail to my neighbors house for two days until electrician could replace panel. Operated all but oven/stove/clothes dryer.
Good luck getting everything fixed and working again.

Hi Dan,
Thanks for the sharing and Happy New Year! In fact 4 years ago my house was hit by lightning and it blew off my branded 29" TV. Thinking that i could repair it, later found that many of the circuit tracks came off and the tuner was totally blown!
