Chips Are Getting Smaller

Few years ago the size of the LCD Monitor Microcontroller Unit (MCU IC ) was about 2×2 cm but now this MCU is getting smaller as seen from the photo above. The designers even integrates the ADC IC and MCU IC into one small chip. The IC may be small but the troubleshooting is still the same. Check the supply voltage, the waveform of the crystal and the signal output from the IC with oscilloscope. If you have the programmer, you may even save or program the data in MCU.
