Completed Another Basic Monitor Repair Course

By on August 5, 2010

This course was attended by two participants from a Computer firm. Both of them finished the Basic Electronic course last week and they will be taking the Advance Monitor Repair next week. The reason they came to learn this course was because their company still receiving CRT Monitors for repair. Although now everyone are talking about LCD Monitors or even LCD TV, somehow i find that this course is a pathway to expose the students of different kinds of circuits that can be found in CRT Monitor. It involves Power Supply, High Voltage, MCU and EEprom, Horizontal and Vertical, Colour circuit, Digital controls, Boost and Buck circuits, Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) and etc. Once they have completed the Advance Monitor Repair course, they will be ever ready to troubleshoot not only CRT Monitors but also other types of electronics equipment. I all ready have nearly all your other stuff and love all of it. Every morning I also cannot wait to see whats new on your blog. If has really become an every day part of my daily repair routine.

    Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for reading my post everyday and the support on all my ebooks. Yes i only conduct the course in Malaysia. As for the course material it is only meant for the students and it is not for sale-sorry. Actually the course material does not contain lots of information, the real information is when they are doing the practical work and when i write the repair tips on the white board. I gave them lots of practical work that they can easily identify which section that they need to troubleshoot when the Monitor have problem.

I like this rejuvenating machine. I have a home made one that I built from scratch. I took the design from a friend of mine (a tech.) and it is working fine..for tv and crt monitors.

This is off topic from this post. But, I just recently purchased the "Testing Electronic components" e-book. I was wondering if that should be the first book I read as I am new to the electronics repair field? I also was wondering if you have some sort of sequence to your e-books. In another words, what would be the recommended order in which to read your e-books? Thanks appreciate the feedback.

    HI Yousef,

Yes that's the first ebook you should read Testing Electronic Components. Once you are good in testing electronic components you can actually start to perform electronic repair work. If your intention to be a good tv repairer then the next book you should get is about TV repair. You can get it from amazon.com. If you want to be good in LCD Monitor repair then you can get my LCD Monitor repair ebook from http://www.lcd-monitor-repair.com . So it depends on what are the field that you want to venture.
