Dare To Fail
If you are new in the repair line, you have to take some risk in testing the circuit board with power on. Without power on, sometimes it will be difficult to detect a problem. Of course before you turn on the power you must know what you are doing and you have to take the risk and do not blame on others when the set do not work or the board exploded. There are many reasons why a board blow such as components installed wrongly, wrong replacement parts, did not double check other area before you turn on and etc. It is easy to blame others but not yourself. When you do a certain test, you have to take full responsibility. If a set does not work, this doesn’t mean that you are a failure, sometimes it can consider a blessing because you can spend more time on the circuit. During the investigation why a set blow, you will discover even more hidden secret and this will add more knowledge to you.
You will know that, you have to be careful when installing a component, you will know that you have to use original replacement part, you will know that you should not power on the set without the power transformer and etc. Although it takes longer time to solve the problem, the time that you have spent are well worth. The next time when you see the same equipment send for repair, i can guarantee that it will take lesser time for you to find out the fault. Dare to fail and you will see success.

Dare to Fail is our answer to Success, without failer that is no knowledge gain. There is a saying Do it Right the First time, Jestine Is the saying correct? There is a saying too, No one is Perfect, so I think the second line is more correct and applies to Dare to Fail as you mentioned, anyway that's my opinion. So search and you will Find, look and you will see.
Thanks & God Bless

HI Bernard,
Yes, do it right the first time. Even though if you are not successful you will learn from the failure. Thomas Edison tested more than 5000 times on why the light bulb have problem but then it does not mean that he has fail 5000 times, he knows that the 5000 ways will not work and kept on improving till he see success.

I was working on a Panasonice crt tv for almost 6 hours straight. there was a lot of loose soldering on that board. resolder all the joints there. Then did all kind of live testing and all tested well. but the tv will not come on. I almost gave up because I was getting frustrating and tired. I took some time off..one hour and went walking and thinking about the problem and then I got it. what if the tv is working fine but the remote control was not sending the right pulse to turn on the tv ( the buttons on the tv was child lock). then I went back to my shop tested the remote control and got it fixed. sure enough the tv worked just fine.
I was so close to give up and I was getting frustrated..and because of that, I did not see the right action to make..rested myself and got it..that was a long hard lesson for me but I thank God, that it was worth the waiting.

HI Waleed,
Many times, i went out for a walk or take some break and after that the idea just came and eventually could solve the problem. The lesson learned was to relax oneself and don't put too much pressure. Once the body and mind got a bit of space, ideas tends to come easily.

If you did it right the first time, then that's good! But just in case you dare to fail, just fail forward and learn from the mistakes. Sometimes we need to fall so that we can see what is on top of us.
Just don't give up! The answer can be just around the corner.

A failure can be one of the most valuable lessons also I always remember the words my grandfather always told me "You never truly fail until the last time you try", so you see there is no failure only learning and trying until success, only once you give up have you actually failed. One more valuable quote from my grandfather, "never say I can't, can't is not a word you must say I can and I will if you want to succeed". Hopefully my grandfathers words can inspire some of you as they have inspired me. Take care everyone.
