Half Display In Logic LCD TV

I have a Logic lcd tv that client brought in one half of the tv plays find and the other half is black. What can cause this to happen?

Answer:

Try call out the OSD menu to see if it is affected or not. If it is affected then the lcd panel have problem. If not affected then check the T-con board and the LVDS cable between the mainboard and the T-Con board. This means you have to reseat the cable. Sometimes you could see rusted pins at the cable. Make sure they are clean. If the reseating the cable does not help then most likely the problem is in the T-con board.

Turn on the Tv for about 5 minutes and then turn it off. Now try feel with your finger to see if there is any IC in the T-con board gets hot. If yes than that is the cause of the problem.

   yes, I have seen this kind of problem and got it fixed. in my case the T-Con was defective. found on in USA for 49 dollars and got it replace. worked like a charm.
