Hardware trouble in PC solved
Some days ago a co-worker called me because she could not work with AutoCAD Architecture (software) in a correct way because it was going out a message of Fatal Error constantly; and on the other hand the Operating System had been installed some days ago, including the rest of the applications.
Her PC had the following features:
- Motherboard ASUS P5L-VM1394
- 2 GB of RAM.
- HDD of 250GB.
- Intel® Pentium® Dual CPU E2140 @1.60GHz, etc.
The first duty done was to extract the three modules of RAM to clean them.
The golden contacts of the modules of RAM memories were cleaned with a pencil eraser (a method very used in my country).
When the RAMs were inserted in their sockets and the PC was switched On, and the OperatingSystem loaded completely some drawings with AutoCAD Architecture and the Fatal Error message did not appeared anymore, so far so good, trouble solved.
