HDD Problem in ASUS PC repaired
This PC brand ASUS P5GC-VM was brought to me from an architect who is a friend of mine and the complaint was he could not install the Operating System because the HDD was out of order.
In other words, the BIOS was not recognizing the Hard Disk Drive (HDD). The PC was opened and I checked on the Hard Disk Drive and of course its connectors too (signal and voltage cables).
These cables were checked and guess what? They were not working properly (voltage and SATA cable) due to rusted connectors.
Both cables were replaced with new one:
When both the cables were connected back to the SMPS (voltage cable) and the HDD (SATA cable), the Bios could recognize the HDD and the PC could run normally. See the photos below:
