Horrible Customer Service
I''ve got an email comment from one of my customers (ERG member) about the horrible customer service that he had with Partstore.com. Here is the email:
Hello Jestine,
I want to share with you and fellow technicians a recent transaction I had with a On Line parts company. The name of the company is "Partstore" located at partstore.com. I needed to purchase a Samsung power/inverter board BN44-00289A. My normal power board parts supplier is Shop Jimmy but they were out of stock with the BN44-00289A board. I shopped around and found one at Parstore.com. I ordered it even though it was more expensive than Shop Jimmy had it for.
When the board arrived it was the BN44-00289B model which is compatable but not what I ordered. If I wanted the B version I would have purchased it from Shop Jimmy that had it in stock at a
better price and better warranty.
When I called Parts Store to correct this problem they stated that I would have to communicate with customer service by E-Mail. I could not believe this. I E-mailed them and waited 2 days for a response. They stated that they could not help me because the board is compatible and should work. If I wanted to return it I could but would have to pay to have it shipped back. Unbelievable. I wanted to talk to someone on the phone but again was told I would have to E-Mail them again.
I will never shop there again. Please post this on your Web site to inform others to be aware of this company's horrible customer service.
Thanks
Vic (USA)

Hello
I had a poblem with a power supply. I live in Brazil. I sent payment by mail and had them shipp to my mothers address in the US so She can combine other purchases to save in shipping to Brazil. Partsstore.com claimed they never got the payment. I sent proof of the money order that was deposited in their account but was no help. My mother had to hire an attorny to threatn to take them to court.
17 months later they sent the refund. 17 months of run arround and no customer service!
All beware!!!!!!

Hi Robert,
Wow! that serious after 17 months only getting back the money. In the future I suggest that use Paypal. If you did not get your order after payment you can always file a complaint and will have your money back in less than a month and the company will be warned or forfeited.

More and more online companies now accept Paypal as a form of payment. In this day and age of online transactions, this should be the norm. I would be wary of any online company that does not now accept Paypal or a credit card as a form of payment.
