How To Make LED That Draws From AC Main Line

“How to make an mains indicator with a LED.In my soldering iron the neon or any light and to replace it I like a LED instead of that light.Please provide me a circuit ( a very simple one) that fits in my soldering iron. “

   Sir can i ask you, what is R1 component in the circuit. Is it a resistor or varistor?

   HI Berlin,

   In the above circuit R1 is a resistor but why do they put in the voltage rating i have no idea about it.

   Hi Isaac,

   If your remote control can't change anything then it could be the programs fault in the eeprom or the MCU.
