Inaccurate Fuel Indication In PRICOL Digital Odometer
This Pricol Digital Odometer, which also shows the fuel level, belongs to my TVS Wego Two Wheeler. The fuel level was erratic such that sometimes even after filling gas fully, it flashed showing tank is going to be empty. So, when I got a free time, I removed it from my vehicle, which required dismantling the front cover of the handle bar.
Dismantled the meter assembly and looked for any burnt or defective components visually as well as using Mulitimeter and ESR Meter.
Could not find any. But there were a lot of dry solders.
Retouched all points including the LCD display pins.
Cleaned the Board thoroughly. Refit the display and found it to be working fine!
The satisfaction jumped into the bag and the odometer showed a ‘record’ speed!

Welldone. the bad part of repairing the car problems especially in-dashboard is not made for easy repair if you want to check one of the meters inside you have to smash all the dash to reach to your desired point and another bad news is you can not find the part easily.

great repair job my friend. these are not made easy to reach as I was working on LED lights for a car and I could not reach the LED lights to test them out I had to cut the piece open and then re glued it back later on. I got the job done but was not easy.
