It Was A Fantastic Trip!
Just came back today after spending 4 days and 3 nights at Langkawi island together with my friend and his family and we stayed at Awana Porto Malai hotel. After the arrival at the airport we went to the car rental booth to rent a MPV for the whole trip. The price was reasonable and it was only RM400.00 (about USD125) excluding petrol. We went to the town (Kuah) and had our lunch there and to the duty free shop to buy some chocolates and light foods before heading to the hotel. After some rest we went to the Langkawi fish farm restaurant to have our dinner there.
The next day just after breakfast we went straight away to the Langkawi cable car that eventually brought us to the Skyway bridge. The scenery at the peak of the mountain was just amazing and the Skyway bridge architecture was superb! If you have the chance to visit Langkawi, please make sure you take the cable car. Later we went to the Underwater world. This place have many large aquariums for you to see many different types of fishes.
Third day was suppose to go for island hopping but my son not feeling well on that day and we changed our itinerary to visit crocodile farm instead. In the afternoon after had our lunch and last shopping at the Duty free shop in Kuah town we went to the Langkawi parade for a walk. In the shopping complex, i found a small stall selling all kind of stuff like torch light, binoculars, LCD keychains, compass and etc. One thing that made me glued to that stall was actually the magnifying glass. They have all sorts of magnifying glass. If you have read my LCD Monitor repair book, i did mentioned that one have to have a magnifying glass to help them to locate the tiny part numbers printed on the body of the SMD components. The one i mentioned was a X10 magnifying glass but this shop have a x35 magnifying glass! I immediately bought it for future troubleshooting use. After that we went to the hotel swimming pool and enjoyed ourselves.
On the third night we had our dinner at May Hiang restaurant and among all the restaurants we went this is the best. The price is reasonable and the food was just fantastic! The owner of the restaurant greeted us and treated us so well and i believe his success was in his communication skills with his clients. Some restaurants have good food but doesn’t provide a good service!
Today is the fourth day and before check out from the hotel, we went to look for a beach because the kids wanted to go to the beach. For your information, Awana Porto Malai hotel doesn’t have a beach and this made us have to look for one else where. We found one at nearby area and after the kids had played with the sands we head back to the hotel and checked out. Last, thanks to my friend and his family for the companionship, without them, i believe it would not have been that fun!
Below are the photos and videos taken during the 4 days trip to Langkawi. Oh by the way, for the past few days, i managed to go to nearby internet cafe to answered some of the emails. I received tons of emails and please give me at least a day or two from now onward to reply you back. Now is already late and tired and will be replying your emails starting from tomorrow. Good day my friends!

Hi Step,
No problem about the chocolate and you need to read my post more often so that you will not miss again. Get William to plan for the coming year end holiday-may be langkawi?
