Laptop Detector

I did heard from my friend who told me that many thiefs broke into the cars and steal laptop and other electronic gadgets (PDA, Handphone). He also said that the thief brought along a scanner that could detect if the car have any electronic devices in it regardless if the set is ON or Off. Today i received an email from a friend who sent me the picture of the gadget as shown below that can perform such task. I do not know how true it is and if you have anything to share about this post please place your comment below this post. By the way, please don’t leave your electronic gadget inside your car.

   THAT is not a Laptop Detector, but a police radar signal scrambler. A more possible Detector would be: http://www.dpl-surveillance-equipment.com/800114889.html or http://www.saelig.com/whats_hot/EMC002.htm
