Now checked Battery Output voltages it shows 2.7v that is also Ok.

shaver repair

Traces circuit for any Leakey components but everything seems ok. Applied direct 3v to motor it is working fine.

There is No any extra activity like speed control is involved so I assume this circuit is only for Battery charging. Googled some videos to find some solution. Because voltages up to on/off switch are within the range.

I tried some tricks I got from YouTube to the test.

shaver fixed

In power ON condition I shorted two Points Battery –ve point using Tweezer.

Philips shavers won't work if you do not discharge the battery fully before taking it out, and it is mentioned in their manuals. You should run the shaver until the battery discharges completely and then remove it. Then this sort of problem would not arise. Many thanks for sharing!

I would have thought all capacitors would discharge if the supply was removed long enough and the capacitors that you manually discharged would be at the same state. I would have liked yo remove the battery pack overnight and reconnect and see if that would have restored the correct functionality. Never-the-less well done in effecting a repair.

Sadly matching service manuals or schematics for these Philips shavers are hardly available anywhere which makes repairing them very difficult.
A few older Philips shavers weren't even fixable anymore because of deteriorating plastic housings and other unexpected aging problems.
My newest Philips Series 5000 Shaver BT5515 15V DC/5.4W with HQ8505 adapter however looks like a very decently made and designed shaver. And it is a pleasure to use it when shaving and also for trimming my beard.
On 27 december this year my 3 year warranty time sadly expires. But I am hoping that it keeps serving me well for a long time after that. Oddly the instruction guide doesn't mention anything useful about the electronics or what chargeable battery is used in the device at allwhich is a shame!

i had exactly the same device in the shop a while ago and I watched some videos about it. I repaired it the way it was done in the video but later on it came back to the shop not working again so I had no option but to refund the guy...thanks for sharing and have a blessed day

Sadly no success with mine. But I’m still curious as to why it turns on when shorting? Mine starts just fine if I short it; and there’s several points that actually do it. But, it lights the orange led. The on/off switch works to stop the device when it starts by shorting, but, it won’t work to turn it on. It just “tries” to. When I click, the motor try to start for a second, but, that’s all.
It suck to throw a device that it’s good, just for some minor thing.
