Repaired Mosquito Racket With Battery Charging Problem
This Mosquito racket when I charging it for 4 to 5hrs it works perfectly, but when I use it next day it shows very low led indicator with no sparks.
Opened racket for inspection. My first suspect is battery because Battery is charging fully but it gets discharge early without use.
So first I charged Battery for 2 Hrs. & checked voltages it is showing 3.7v.
Checked again with the racket it gives perfect spark…Now again removed battery & checked voltages it shows 2.8v….
So I kept my Multimeter connected to the battery contacts it decreases the voltage very fast, it is confirmed Battery is the culprit….
I just think about if I can revive this Battery…on googled I found many tricks for battery reviving. One trick I found it shows using Battery water with salt so I bought Distilled water specially used for Lead-acid Battery.
Now I disconnected the battery from the racket & opened top cover to fill the water in side. I used Pinch of salt in each barrel & using Syringe I filled distilled water inside….
In few moments I found battery water making bubbles on top of barrel hole it means some chemical reaction takes place.
I tried this process on some of my salvaged Battery also …. After the filling process I kept all the batteries of charging one by one….
After the charging process I found old batteries does not show any positive result after charging it for 4 hours.
Checked the original Battery still it shows same problem…. So this trick is not worked in this case… So purchased new Battery from our nearby parts supplier.
Connected the new Battery inside the racket. & checked it gives loud spark in the net.
Checked and confirmed after 3 days it still working & problem solved.

On Youtube all sorts of fake videos like showing how to make a free wifi antenna etcetera are presented. With the most incredible stories that show us how to make a free energy generator that according to the laws of physics is completely impossible. And I guess that how to regenerated those batteries was one of them.

Good attempt Yogesh. Albert is right about the internet being awash with non-sense. Those hacks are more interested in generating likes, clocks and subscribes than solving real world problems. The salt+DI water trick does actually work in certain cases but you need the right kind of salt soln. Unfortunately it seems that your battery had developed a short circuit somehow (hence the rapid self-discharge). Likely no salvaging such a fault. Nice try though!

Right Tayo, May be this trick will maintain the battery if you are doing on right interval of time. it will extend the life of battery.fully dried up battery may cause shorting and not getting revived.

Sir, This is special Battery Water available at battery service station, check the level of the Battery water every six months & maintain the level of battery water will definitely extend the life of Lead Acid Battery.

For me i don't repair any device that uses lead- acid battery any more, why? those new batteries don't last, at most 3 months and customer usually come back to complain.Well done.

I tried the same process on a bad battery that powers up the emergnecy lights and it worked fine but not for a long time so It is battery to replaced with a good working one. thanks for sharing and have a blessed day

I replaced a few using lithium battery & it works without problem even though the charging system is different.
