Resistor Color Code Problem

By on September 25, 2013

Should I replace a resistor that the color already changed from Red to Brown but the value still measured good?

Answers:

Yes, the resistor should be changed to avoid intermittent problem and breakdown when under full load. Not only that, if the resistor left to run and continue to get hot, all the color codes will be totally gone  and by that time it will be hard to identify the original color. At least now, you can roughly guess what are the original colors.
