Suoer Digital Meter That Does Not Easily Power On
It is my digital meter that was purchased about a year ago, that refused to power on, I guess the power switch is faulty. So I decided to repair it. Open it up and this is the PCB board.
I couldn’t get exact size of switch, but I got a slightly bigger one which couldn’t fix into six holes for it on PCB board because of its size.
So I modified it. I soldered thin copper wire on relevant pins (4pins) on switch and other ends of wires on switch pads of PCB,use glue also on it.
But then switch couldn’t fix into right place on metre power space, so I made a hole through by LCD screen left side and pass switch through it and hold with glue also, making sure switch does not rest on LCD screen.
This is the picture of finished work. Meter now working perfectly with good reading.

In 2018, I decided to learn about electronics which through Jestine’s electronics e-books and holding my hand, am an electronics techie today.

Thanks my brother, what you have to do is, keep on practicing more on repairs on daily basis, even the smallest appliances like phone charger, torch light, energy saver bulbs etc. keep yourself busy repairing one thing or the other. Also acquire knowledge from Jestine e-books if you have the budget. All these I did and within one year I was able to repair a 32" led tv.
