Hi Jomar,
It is repairable if you have the part especially the inverter ic and the smd ic (built in fets).

Hello jestine,
thanks for the immediate response of my inquiry below but i guess the said parts are not available on our local stores here in our country.
but i will try to repair it and find those parts but if it is not available here then i will just replace it with a brand new inverter.

I have a Sony Bravia 40" tv that has developed a 4" horisontal blue line on the bottom of the screen, visible only on the right hand side and lighter toward the left hand side definatly the tv not the cable company. What do you think? Thanks, Gary

HI Gary,
If the display is permanent most probably the lcd panel have problem.
